Throughout its long history, spanning three centuries since 1889, ABEA has faced many challenges, including two world wars and various economic recessions, and has changed owners several times. The establishment of ABEA at the end of the 19th century (1889) was a milestone for the economic life modernization of the region, as it was the first factory of its kind in Greece and one of the largest in the Mediterranean region.
