EFKRATO is a premium, multi-awarded, organic, early harvest extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively from the ancient Cretan variety Tsounati. It has been recognized both for its richness in polyphenols (bearing the health claim according to EU regulation 432/2012) and its organoleptic characteristics, which include aromas of green fruits, artichokes, freshly cut grass, almonds, etc., harmoniously combined with the characteristic bitterness and pungency of an early harvest olive. The olive fruits are selected one by one by hand, ensuring only those in excellent condition are used in EFKRATO's production, while harvesting occurs before the fruits ripen to produce what the ancient Greeks called "ωμοτριβές" (early harvest olive oil), historically considered the most nutritious olive oil.
