EFKRATO is an award-winning premium organic olive oil from early harvest, produced exclusively from the ancient Cretan variety Tsounati. Awarded for its richness in polyphenols (it has a health claim - EU regulation 432/2012) and its organoleptic characteristics, which include aromas of green fruit, artichokes, freshly cut grass, almonds, etc., harmoniously combined with the characteristic bitterness and pungency of early harvest olive oil. The olives are selected by hand, one by one, and only those in perfect condition are used to produce EFKRATO. Harvesting takes place before the fruit ripens in order to produce what the ancient Greeks called "ωμοτριβές" (early harvest olive oil), which has long been considered the most nutritious and prized product.

Sustainable Production and Health Benefits

Modern scientific research confirms this belief: polyphenols, antioxidants found in large quantities in early harvest oils such as EFKRATO, have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective, neuroprotective and many other health properties.

A key aspect of EFKRATO's identity is that it is produced in a sustainable manner, in harmony with nature and its rhythms, using methods derived from both biodynamic and regenerative agriculture in a holistic approach.

In addition, we work with the organisation myClimate (www.myclimate.org), which calculates the CO2 emissions resulting from its cultivation and production. The corresponding amount is then offered to finance environmental protection projects in various parts of the world.
