Meligyris is a renowned producer of premium honey from Crete, with a multi-generational beekeeping tradition dating back to the 1920s. The apiaries are located in the clean, wild areas of the island – in mountains, valleys and forests full of aromatic Mediterranean herbs. Production is based on natural beekeeping methods, without excessive interference with the environment. A producer with tradition and knowledge

The Meligyris brand was created by Manolis Stefanakis, a graduate of the Agricultural University of Athens, who combined family experience with scientific knowledge. Thanks to the analysis of the microclimate, vegetation and natural environment, honeys with unique taste and quality properties are created.

The apiaries are located in different regions of Crete, at different altitudes and in different climatic conditions. It is this diversity that gives Meligyris honeys their unique character, depth of aroma and natural concentration of valuable ingredients.

Single-flower and forest honeys from Crete

Meligyris specialises in the production of monofloral and forest honeys made from the nectar of wild Mediterranean plants. The range includes thyme, pine, sage, oregano, heather, fir, chestnut, oak, wildflower and citrus honeys. Many products are also available in organic BIO versions and with natural honeycomb.
