Agoureleo Olive Oil – Physis of Crete
Agoureleo is a unique, limited edition cold-pressed olive oil made from unripe green olives harvested in October, during the earliest harvest. This allows it to retain the maximum amount of valuable nutrients and the characteristic flavour of young fruit.
Its high chlorophyll content gives it an intense green colour, a noticeable bitterness and a delicate spiciness. Combined with its fruity aroma, it is an ideal oil for raw consumption – as a salad dressing, an addition to bread or a finishing touch to ready-made dishes.
Agoureleo is distinguished by its very high content of polyphenols – natural antioxidants found exclusively in green, unripe fruit. It is also a rich source of vitamins, minerals and Omega-3 fatty acids.
It takes about 12 kg of small, unripe olives to produce 1 litre of this oil. The oil is unfiltered – the natural sediment visible in the bottle is proof of its authenticity and minimal interference in the production process.
