Physis of Crete extra virgin olive oil 0.2 1 L
Description
Physis of Crete Extra Virgin Olive Oil 0.2
Physis of Crete Extra Virgin Olive Oil 0.2 is a unique product that perfectly captures the taste and quality of Cretan olive oil. This cold-pressed olive oil is made from Koroneiki olives, hand-picked in the Lassithi region and cold-pressed to preserve all of their health benefits and aromatic properties.
Physis of Crete 0.2 olive oil is the perfect choice for those who prefer delicate flavours and are not looking for an oil with strong attributes such as pronounced fruitiness, intense bitterness or spiciness. Thanks to its low acidity (<0.29%), it offers a subtle flavour profile that goes well with a variety of dishes, complementing rather than dominating their taste. It is an ideal choice for those who appreciate milder accents in their cuisine, while caring about the quality of the products they use.
Key advantages
Physis of Crete 0.2, which has an acidity of less than 0.29%, indicates the exceptional purity of the product (extra virgin olive oil, considered to be of the highest quality, must have an acidity of less than 0.8%), but its delicate flavour and rich aroma are the result of a perfect combination of all the key characteristics of olive oil, not just acidity.
The acidity of olive oil is one of the key indicators of its purity and quality, but it is not the most important one. It is a parameter that cannot be assessed on the basis of taste, smell or appearance. It is the amount of free fatty acids, the level of which can only be verified in a chemical laboratory. It is worth noting that the acidity of olive oil is measured immediately after harvesting, and if stored and bottled improperly, it can increase over the course of a year.
The quality of olive oil is mainly determined by organoleptic characteristics such as fruitiness, bitterness and pungency. Olive oils with low acidity may have an intense flavour, while those with higher acidity may seem milder. That is why it is so important to have the acidity tested professionally, using specialised equipment, which allows the quality of the oil to be accurately determined.
