Description
Carob syrup is made from the pods of the carob tree and has a mild, sweet flavor. It can be used as a sweetener in cakes, tahini, hot and cold drinks, yogurts, ice creams, and rice. It is an excellent substitute for sugar. It is rich in calcium (almost three times more than cow's milk—carob contains 350mg per 100g compared to milk, which contains 120mg per 100g). The flavor of the syrup may vary depending on the carob variety, but its nutritional values remain consistent. Only Cretan fruits are used in production.
Carob products are: organic, gluten-free, caffeine-free, suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and contain no fats, salt, or added sugars.
