Worldwide Shipping
![]()
We ship to customers worldwide, with the exception of Russia and Belarus. Orders are dispatched directly from our warehouse in Gliwice, Poland, by FedEx, with full customs documentation. For Ukrainian customers, we additionally use Nova Post.
Most orders are shipped within 48 hours, Monday to Friday. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your package leaves our warehouse — track it any time on the FedEx website.
⚠️ Important: shipments to the USA
All shipments to the USA require an FDA-registered product in the order, an FDA Prior Notice filing, and are subject to duties and clearance fees regardless of value (Executive Order, 29 August 2025). See the United States section below for full details before placing your order.
Customs Duties and Import Taxes
Our prices do not include customs duties or import taxes for orders shipped outside the European Union. Customs charges are determined and collected exclusively by the customs authorities of the destination country and by the courier company — we have no control over them and cannot predict or influence the amount. All such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Customs duties are typically calculated on the total value of the order, including shipping. Our customs documentation lists each item, its commodity code (CN/HS), the order value and the shipping cost, accompanied by the payment confirmation. Customs offices routinely verify that the declared value matches the actual payment — accurate details are therefore essential. We do not declare shipments as "gifts" or "samples" — this would constitute a customs violation.
Country-Specific Information
🇺🇸 United States
Shipments to the USA require careful preparation due to U.S. Customs and FDA regulations. Please read this section in full before ordering.
1. FDA-Registered Product Required
Every shipment must contain at least one product from a brand holding a valid FDA registration. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires the importing facility (manufacturer/producer) to be registered with the FDA before food products can enter the country. Currently eligible brands in our catalogue:
Terra Creta · Eliama · Pamako · Holiston · Meligyris · Atsas
If your order contains at least one product from this list, we can prepare the FDA documentation and ship to the USA. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing the order.
2. FDA Prior Notice — Required for All Food Shipments
Under 21 CFR Part 1, Subpart I, every shipment of food, dietary supplements, herbal products and beverages imported into the United States requires a Prior Notice filing with the FDA before the goods arrive at the U.S. border. This is a separate requirement from FDA facility registration and from the standard certificate of origin — a certificate of origin is not a Prior Notice confirmation.
For each shipment to the USA we prepare and file:
- FDA Prior Notice (PN) — submitted electronically via the FDA's Prior Notice System Interface (PNSI), generating a PN Confirmation Number that travels with the shipment.
- Manufacturer details — official producer name and address for each product (required by FDA and CBP).
- Commercial invoice — itemised, with commodity codes (CN/HS) and country of origin.
- FDA registration numbers of the producing facilities.
- Certificate of origin — confirms the product's country of origin for U.S. Customs (CBP).
Reference: FDA — Filing Prior Notice of Imported Foods · 21 CFR Part 1, Subpart I.
Preparing this documentation correctly is what determines whether your shipment clears U.S. customs without delay. We handle the full filing on your behalf — but if FedEx or CBP requests additional information after dispatch (which occasionally happens for cosmetics, supplements or new SKUs), we will contact you promptly to coordinate.
3. De Minimis Threshold Removed (29 August 2025)
Under the U.S. Executive Order "Suspending Duty-free De Minimis Treatment for All Countries", the previous USD 800 duty-free threshold (19 U.S.C. § 1321(a)(2)(C)) has been eliminated. All shipments to the USA are now subject to customs duties, taxes and clearance fees, regardless of order value, country of origin, mode of transport or entry method. Duties are calculated on the total value of the goods including shipping. Charges are determined and collected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) — Kreta24 has no influence over the amount.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
Important — we do not collect UK VAT at checkout. Since Brexit (January 2021), the United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU customs and VAT area. Goods shipped from Poland to the UK are treated as imports, and UK customs may apply Import VAT, customs duty and courier handling fees on delivery. These charges are not included in our prices and we have no control over them — they are determined and collected by HM Revenue & Customs and the courier company. Official UK guidance: GOV.UK – Tax and customs for goods sent from abroad.
Customs duty (0% on EU-origin olive oil). Under the UK–EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), goods originating in the European Union — including Greek, Italian and Spanish extra virgin olive oil (CN 1509 20 00) — qualify for a 0% customs duty rate when a valid statement of origin is provided. We include the appropriate documentation with every shipment. The £135 threshold determines where duty is assessed, but for EU-origin food products the duty rate is typically zero either way.
Import VAT (20%). UK Import VAT applies at the standard rate of 20% on most goods, regardless of order value. Olive oil (1509 20 00), food supplements (2106 90) and most other products in our catalogue fall under the standard rate. VAT is calculated on the total value: goods + shipping + any duty.
- Orders £135 or less (goods + shipping): no customs duty; 20% UK VAT due. In principle this VAT should be collected by the seller at checkout under the post-Brexit low-value import rules — however, we are not currently registered for UK VAT, so on arrival the courier (FedEx) will collect the VAT and a clearance fee directly from the recipient.
- Orders above £135: the buyer is the importer of record. FedEx will invoice the recipient for 20% UK Import VAT, any applicable customs duty (0% for EU-origin EVOO with statement of origin), and a clearance/handling fee (typically £15–£25 + 20% VAT on the fee).
Example 1 — small order: goods £100 + shipping £15 = £115 → no duty; 20% VAT (≈£23) + courier clearance fee (≈£12) → total ≈ £150 delivered.
Example 2 — larger order: goods £200 + shipping £20 = £220 → no duty on EU-origin EVOO; 20% VAT (≈£44) + courier clearance fee (≈£20 + £4 VAT) → total ≈ £288 delivered.
All amounts are calculated by HM Revenue & Customs and FedEx based on the total value including shipping. Charges are paid by the recipient on delivery, separately from the order itself. We recommend taking these charges into account when planning your order.
Note on £39 gift relief: the UK gift relief (no VAT, no duty for gifts under £39) applies only to genuine private gifts between individuals — never to commercial online purchases. We will not declare your order as a gift; doing so would constitute a customs violation.
🇮🇳 India
Customs clearance in India can delay delivery. Customs charges are calculated on the goods plus shipping. If you have a GSTN number, please add it to the order notes and select DHL service instead of FedEx where possible.
For private (non-IEC) importers, Indian Customs typically assesses goods under CTH 98049000 with a combined duty of approximately 77.28% (35% + 10% + 28%). The IEC (Importer Exporter Code) is a 10-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for commercial importers. We do not label shipments as gifts under any circumstances.
🇺🇦 Ukraine
For Ukrainian customers we ship via Nova Post. Standard customs rules apply.
🚫 Russia and Belarus
We do not ship to Russia or Belarus.
Shipping Cost
The cost of international shipping depends on the gross weight of the ordered goods. The system calculates the weight in real time as you add items to your basket. The exact shipping price is displayed at checkout before payment — you will see the full cost (and have the option to cancel) before confirming the order.
Delivery and Tracking
You will receive a tracking number by email at the moment of dispatch. A delivery confirmation, with the name of the consignee and local delivery time, is emailed within approximately 3 hours of successful delivery.
Deliveries are made on business days only — Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are excluded. If the recipient is not present at the time of delivery, FedEx automatically reattempts on the next business day. After the second unsuccessful attempt, FedEx leaves a note with the tracking number and the contact details of the nearest local FedEx office, where the recipient can schedule a pickup or new delivery appointment.
Product Availability
All products are stocked in our warehouse in Gliwice, Poland (EU). In the rare event of a stock shortage or shipping delay, we will notify you by email immediately and offer options — substitution, partial dispatch or refund.
