Greco lemon verbena (Aloysia citrodora) 25g ORGANIC
Description
It originates from South America, but has adapted perfectly to the Mediterranean climate.
It was brought to Europe in the 17th century by the Spanish and Portuguese, initially as a garden plant.
It has a refreshing, lemony aroma and flavour.
The package contains whole organic verbena leaves, selected and harvested by hand.
Preparation: Place a few leaves in a cup. Then pour hot water over them and cover for 10 minutes. A wonderful, soothing and refreshing lemon scent will appear, which means that the verbena is ready to drink. Verbena leaves can also be combined with green and black tea leaves.
Properties – Application:
- It has antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties.
- It has a relaxing, calming and anti-inflammatory effect.
- It aids digestion and relieves migraines and nausea.
- It is a diuretic plant, helps to remove excess weight and cellulite, and reduces appetite (a proper diet + exercise is recommended).
- Excellent for flatulence.
- It is used in cases of respiratory tract inflammation, coughs, runny nose, flu and colds.
Precautions: Avoid consumption by pregnant women. After childbirth, there are no known contraindications for consumption. Stimulates lactation.
