Description
In Greece, marjoram is a self-seeding plant, which is why it has been known since ancient times. It is a plant of the same species as oregano.
Currently, marjoram is cultivated as an ornamental and aromatic plant in pots and gardens. In the Greek provinces, it is drunk as a decoction, while in northern European countries it is used as a basic seasoning for meats and soups. Marjoram is also used in the perfume and confectionery industries.
Application
- Marjoram aids digestion by eliminating stomach and intestinal cramps and stimulating the secretion of gastric juices.
