Mastiha (mastic) from Chios is a unique resin obtained from the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus var. chia), which grows exclusively on the Greek island of Chios. This resin is renowned for its exceptional aromatic, medicinal, and cosmetic properties. Mastiha is harvested by hand in the form of small droplets, which then crystallize under the sun, forming characteristic "tears." Mastiha is known for its high efficacy against Helicobacter pylori and is effectively used for reflux, heartburn, ulcers, Crohn's disease, and many other conditions. It also helps maintain proper cholesterol and blood glucose levels and has beneficial effects on the gastrointestinal system. Chewing mastiha allows you to enjoy its unique taste and aroma, which not only provides pleasure but also benefits oral health, teeth, and the entire digestive system.
