Pangaea Agoureleo – Top-quality extra virgin olive oil from early harvest

Origin and Production

Agoureleo comes from the Greek words ágouros (unripe) and éleon (olive oil), which together form the concept of "unripe olive oil". It is a completely natural product, obtained from fresh, green, unripe olives. The harvest is done by hand, without the use of tools or nets, directly into crates, which guarantees the highest quality of the raw material. Early harvest (approx. 20 September to 10 October), cultivated in a sustainable manner and harvested by hand. Cold extracted (max. 27 °C), using only mechanical methods. Stored at low temperature, hermetically sealed, in a protective atmosphere in an INOX tank.

Product Characteristics

Intensely fruity with nuances of fresh, green aromas (olive leaves, green almonds, tomato leaves, freshly cut grass, pepper)
Distinctly bitter and peppery in flavour, it has a very low acidity content of less than 0.3%. This exceeds the standards for extra virgin olive oils, making it exceptionally healthy and rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Its intense, fruity flavour with a higher polyphenol content emphasises its uniqueness. One litre of Agoureleo extra virgin olive oil contains approximately 15 kilograms of fresh olives. The yield here is around 6-8%, depending on the harvest year. That is why we only produce this speciality in very small quantities.

Recommendations for consumption

We recommend consuming Pangaea Agoureleo exclusively cold in order to fully enjoy its flavour and preserve all its nutritional values. It goes perfectly with salads, dips, pesto, as well as simple white bread, salt and oregano. In order to preserve the valuable polyphenols, it is not recommended to heat the oil.

Storage

Pangaea oil is natural, so any cloudiness is completely normal. It should be stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, to ensure the best quality and a long shelf life.
