PROPERTIES
INTERNAL USE: Bactericidal, antiseptic, antifungal, expectorant and fluidizing of the bronchial secretions, antispasmodic, aperitive (stimulates appetite), stomachic (helps gastric digestion of food), carminative (helps eliminate digestive gases and prevents their formation), choleretic (stimulates the synthesis of bile in the liver), antiparasitic, sedative, antioxidant.
EXTERNAL USE: Antiseptic, vulnerary, healing, analgesic and antifungal.

INDICATIONS
INTERNAL USE: Infections in general. Loss of appetite, hypo-secretory dyspepsia, aerophagia, slow digestion, gastric infection by Helicobacter pylori, gastrointestinal spasms, flatulence, intestinal candidiasis, intestinal worms, etc. Pharyngitis, tracheitis, chronicbronchitis, irritative cough, asthma. Painful menstrual (dysmenorrhea). Acute and chronic rheumatism, etc.
EXTERNAL USE: Throat inflammations, sinusitis, toothache. Rheumatism, muscle and joint pain. Psoriasis, athlete's foot, insect bites. Cellulite. Pediculosis (head lice). It is a good repellent for ants.

DOSAGE AND INSTRUCTIONS
INTERNAL USE: 3-5 drops, 2-4 times a day, in a teaspoon of honey, a brown sugar cube or an infusion.
EXTERNAL USE: Apply the essence in compresses, poultices and rubbing on the affected or painful area. Gargling or inhalations for respiratory and buccal disorders.

COUNTERINDICATIONS
Not recommended in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to essential oil or to any of its components.
Not recommended during pregnancy, lactation, or in children under six years, and in patients with epilepsy, Parkinson's or other neurological diseases.

REMARKS
Oregano essential oil in high doses may have excitement-narcotic effects at the levelof the nervous system, causing excitement initially and afterwards depression with anesthesia, dullness and drowsiness.
