Tofillo Cretan Sage 27g

The ancient Greeks regarded sage as a magical plant, a symbol of masculinity and immortality. It was dedicated to Zeus. In Greece, sage occurs in three medicinal varieties: Salvia officinalis, Salvia triloba and Salvia fruticosa. Common sage is rich in essential oils (e.g. thujone, camphor) and contains flavonoids and tannins.

Properties:

• antiseptic effect, which is useful, for example, in the treatment of oral and throat conditions
• spasmolytic
• skin problems
• blood pressure regulating; recommended for people prone to low blood pressure
• for menopausal symptoms
• antifungal and anti-inflammatory

Preparation: 1 tablespoon of herbs to 200ml of water at 80°C; steep, covered, for approx. 3–5 mins. Also good served cold with ice (in which case use 2 tablespoons of the infusion)

Ingredients: Cretan sage (Salvia fruticosa)

Store in a dry, cool and dark place.
